It’s just a factory electric cutout/bypass that bypasses the muffler. You can get one for about $150 and open and close it at will for a factory stock sound or a race car-like dumped exhaust.

A cutout sounds like ass. Granted you could use that cutout to open a path to a resonator which would help that problem. But the GM exhaust should be a complete solution...it has two paths...one very muffled, one less muffled...both sounding like a proper exhaust. AND it should be possible to wire a relay circuit to operate it manually.
