I watched a GM video introducing the new line of 2027 Silverados last night. I almost threw up. I wasn’t sure how much longer I was going to keep my 2021. I usually trade in before the 75k mile mark in order to get a decent trade in price. Well now I’m keeping it until it dies or a piston shoots through the block. They’re not even trucks anymore they’re Cadillacs. I can’t remember if they’re still offering the trusted 5.3L that’s been used for decades but they are offering 4 brand new engines, one being a 5.7L a 6.6L as well as the Duramax diesels. There’s an optional infotainment screen located on the passenger dash bringing it to 60 linear inches of touchscreen… Seriously?!?! Hands free towing, 35”Mickeys, with upgraded suspension to support a 2” lift kit on the Zr2, the list goes on. I’d be surprised if you can even change the oil at home and don’t have to bring it to a dealer or own a computer at the least. I can’t wait to see the price on the window stickers. The prices pre 2027 pre owned are going to skyrocket because the average buyer that wants new but is on a budget is not going to want to spend $90,0000 or more on a 1500 pickup. You might as will just go with an HD at this point. The link below to view the 2027 introduction
