I traded vehicles with my wife at work today (thank you MyChevrolet app for being able to track vehiclesand get you to them). It was all pre-arranged. She's in the military and the base has a hobby shop. I took her Traverse to the hobby shop to change the diff and transfer case fluid, along with an oil change. She was done with work about 20 minutes before I finished working on her car. She opted to walk the ~1/2 mile to the nearest base gym instead of driving my truck. I parked her car right back were I took it from so she had it when she got back from the gym. Of course, I found out about the gym part later tonight after she got home. When I asked why she didn't drive my truck she said it's too big and too powerful. She's intimated to drive it.Might didn't want to scratch it or dent it. I just laughed because I would know if another scratch or dent was in it I guess!
Ha! Now, my wife has never had a problem occasionally driving any of my lifted full size trucks. However, she wants nothing to do with my M5 as she thinks it’s way too loud (titanium exhaust with down pipes) and fast! Of course I really have no desire to drive her Subaru either. lol!I traded vehicles with my wife at work today (thank you MyChevrolet app for being able to track vehiclesand get you to them). I'm big and powerful, too. I wish she was too intimidated to drive me bonkers.
overall, how do you like the fit and finish of the body armor ??? i have been eyeing it for awhile, and being i have a black truck...it would be less noticeable, but damn the rockers are thin !!!!Added RL Level ( top spacers only and thinking now I should add bottom. Thoughts?) air design fender flares ( screwed up passenger front a little with some gap at bottom and front), black tail pipes, bushwaker trail armor rocker covers , undercover armor flex tonneau, bed rug, XPel XR Plus Tint 20 % windows 55% windshield, EGR window deflectors, black rhino kelso, bfg ko2 285/65/20, painted calipers and rotor hats. Next: solid black bow tie, black bedside stickers, ceramic coating. And that’s it (maybe)!

Took a lot of adjustments to fit that particular tonneau but might be since I started with the bulkhead seal and rail shims that I ultimately didn’t need so removed. With the linex, should resist a lot of sun fading and scratching .Yeah they aren’t really rocker panel covers per se, more so just prevents scuffing paint with shoes getting out of truck when you slide over it plus adds a little blackout look to tie in the fender flares I think.overall, how do you like the fit and finish of the body armor ??? i have been eyeing it for awhile, and being i have a black truck...it would be less noticeable, but damn the rockers are thin !!!!
Those wheels look great. I have been planning a tire upsize w/ level on my stock 18” rims, but these are making me reconsider.Added RL Level ( top spacers only and thinking now I should add bottom. Thanks for the kind words! Overall I think the Recons are great. They look terrific for one thing, which I’d be lying if I said wasn’t a big plus itself. Fit, Finish, and Install is perfect. They ARE overpriced I think personally but what’s not nowadays?? Although if you use code LONESTAR (from Lonestar Hawaiian TB YouTube channel) you get 15% off still. As for the lighting: I think the brake lights, running lights and turn signals are very bright particularly considering it’s smoked out. Brighter than OEM or every bit as. I have no safety concerns at all with these smoked lenses. The reverse is definitely better than oem, but can’t touch a set of lasfit bulbs. And with the recon design, you can’t replace them. I’m a bit disappointed in the reverse as I was hoping they would be more than just nominally better, but at least really close to lasfit better and they are not at all. So just know what to expect and you won’t be disappointed. Overall I really like them and would recommend with the aforementioned caveats. Bottom line I think: Buy them first and foremost for the looks and know you will have adequate functionality that is definitely improved over oem. But if reverse brightness is your priority, throw a set of lasfit into the oem ones.Man I’m loving this build! You, sir, have great taste in mods. Can we get a review of the recons???
