6.2 Oil Change

I have a '22 Trrailboss Refresh with the 6.2l that was part of the recall. It "passed the picoscope test and they did the change to 0W40 etc. Now its time for another oil change and i'm doing it myself. Tons of research to make sure i ordered the correct oil and filter. Ordered the PF63 and received the PF63A. So tons of more research and the PF63A shows as a direct GM authorized alternative to the PF63 even though the 63A is shorter in length. Any opinions on whether i should stick with the PF63 or not ?

UPF63R is the most premium, higher cost, most value. Then comes PF63 listed as GM standard OE, and less quality, low cost budget friendly comes the Silver PF63A.

I don't use any AC Delco brands. I use Amsoil filters and oil, but this is what I understand for your question related to sticking with the PF63 or go with the PF63A.

Shorter filter = less filter media, unless it's larger diameter, which is unlikely since it's the same 63 number.
