I had stop at my local GM dealership over the weekend. As usual I took a walk around the lot to check out some new trucks and corvettes. I found my exact truck. The only big difference was the 10speed trans, the larger infotainment screen and the year, it was a 2025. I almost fell over when I saw the sticker price…….$71,310.00 !!!! I asked the salesman what APR GM is offering in general for good credit these days? He replied around 5-7%APR for a credit score around 660-719 and 84 months is a common term for loans these days . I was absolutely gobsmacked. Someone in this forum made the comment that “hopefully he just purchased his last truck”. Well, I hope so too and I’m only 45. Between sticker prices and computers making it nearly impossible to service or replace most parts oneself on the newest models without a $5,000 scanner/GM computer software. In some areas of the country that’s a home mortgage or a nice parcel of land to invest in. It’s not as if build quality has excelled, in fact, I’d go as far to say that it’s quite the opposite.
