This is the first vehicle I have had with this feature, and I know there are means to disable it.

Something I noticed recently, is how/when it functions and doesn't. I take the same route to/from work daily, drive in the same manner, etc. In the mornings, I notice when I stop at a light, it will engage, yet when I am driving home in the afternoons, it does not.

Is this normal, since I don't know what causes it to engage/not engage.

Could definitely be normal, in certain situations such as it being warm or cold outside, if it determines it needs to keep running to maintain interior temperature it won’t engage the auto stop

Idk all the exact parameters but conditions have to be met for it to engage auto start/stop

Mine doesn't engage when I have the a/c turned to Low...but when I adjust the temp up it will. Are you adjusting the cabin temp between the morning and afternoon drives?
