21 lt trail boss
So I had a 2007 silverado and it rode very nice. I recently got a 21 LT TB with the territory 275/70/18's and on very mild roads in the mountains my ride quality has dropped considerably from the '07. I almost feel like I went from a 1/2 ton to a 3/4 ton. The 21 is completely stock. How could I improve the ride? I don't do any real hard core off roading, mostly mountain trails hunting in Montana.

To clarify I'm looking for a smoother ride, not a more firm ride. Something which absorbs bumps and rocks on dirt/gravel roads and is nice and cushy on the highway.

2 fold going forward...
1. these trucks are be far, more rigid in frame design, that itself makes for a firmer ride
2. the Ranchos on a stock truck are OFFROAD derived shocks, if the 07 was a standard rig (non Z71)...this new truck again by far more rigid

my opinion, and i have ran numerous high end NAMED shocks through the years....you should look at the Eibach 2.0 Coilover replacements, as well as the accompanying rear shocks, these have been described by many as the best budget friendly ON road ride, with the capability to manage light / moderate offroad.

i run a Fox 2.5 Elite with DSC adjustable dampening, hands down one of the best riding setups, but not on the cheaper side.

i suggest looking here and making a few calls....but the Eibach will most likely be what gets recommended. Look for TB/AT4 specific fits...ot filter for the amount of lift desired....2" being Stock TB / 3-3.5" being a LEVELED look. the offerings over 2" (3-3.5") will replace any spacer leveling lifts the truck may have
