C vs E KO3’s

Don't believe the posted weights...i've verified five different tire weights and they were widely different than their posted weights. I have yet to see an E-range tire that is that close in weight to its C-range variant.

And also - C-range all day on the 1500 Trail Boss. No reason whatsoever to go to E.
Good to know! And I just looked on BFG’s website shows the E is 61.7 not 59lbs.

I always buy K02 (now K03's) and swap as soon as possible to an E tire, BUT that's because I'm regularly on forest roads miles from cell reception. Knock on wood I haven't had a flat, which is a big deal for me.

If I was just driving short distances on nice packed dirt roads, with the rest in town then I might get C's. For being far from cell service on forest, gravel, rocky roads I've just known others who've gotten multiple flats with C rated tires.
