The season is winding down and I didn't get out to camp or luau as much as I'd hoped this year. Travel to Kauai, Washington DC and New York City was AMAZING (had my eyes open for other Trail Bosses out there!) and I love getting to see other places in this beautiful world of ours, but...I did miss the quiet of a good outdoor cooked dinner around a camp fire with family and friends. I added a couple of camp kitchen upgrades this year that travel well and I thought I'd share, and hopefully get some feedback on what others are doing out there for ideas moving forward.
#1. A neighbor gave me a 12" OONI pizza oven, wood fired. This thing is awesome! I definitely burned a few pizzas getting it figured out but I can crank out 5 or six 12" pizzas in an hour and it fits in the bed of the Trail Boss like it was purpose built for my needs. 2"x2" hardwood cut into 6" pieces works best for fire and it comes completely apart for cleaning.

#2. onlyfire stainless steel smoker attachment for weber kettle. I've done ribs, chickens and salmon on this set up and all came out great! I was surprised at how steady a temp it holds with charcoal and a couple of chunks of hickory and it's light weight, comes apart to transport and again, fits great in the bed of my truck.
