I thought I'd do a search as I'm looking for a system as well... I will do the tune for sure, no point not getting 100 percent from your purchase, I'm checking to see If there is a autotune like I use on my street bikes ... check this outAs a followup to my previous post, you currently cannot order the Chevy performance intake for the 6,2 Trail Boss unless it came with the truck from the factory. Their ECM tuning software checks the VIN and your dealer cannot download the tune for it unless the VIN matches a truck that had it from the factory. Really dumb. I wonder if anyone using 3rd party intakes on a 6.2 is having check engine light issues cause they don't have this tune. You can still order the performance pipes or one of the Borlas for the 6.2 from Chevy, but that doesn't require the tune.
Installed a Cold Air Indictions intake Elite on my 21 TB 5.3 last night. Took about 30 minutes and looks sweet. Can’t wait to pair my magnaflow muffler delete with it….then eventually a complete Cat back swap.I just bought a 2021 trail boss lt 5.3 and wanted to install a gm cold air intake so I would t have any warranty issues but gm is saying my truck is not compatible with the programming that’s needed for the intake.. My question is does this sound right and or is there a way around??? Thanks for the help!!

Have you heard anything I’m wondering the same thingThanks for the info I’ll check it out !!
Ended up going with this one. Install was kind of a pain in the ass since you're not only reinstalling a new box, but every single thing needs to be put together (felt like the ikea of the intake world lol). I'm used to K&N intakes which don't have a full box replacement, so they're a lot easier to get set up. Noticed a slight improvement on initial take off. Obviously won't see the full potential until I can find someone who can tune it, since GM can't. Definitely has a nice throaty sound to it, but not overly aggressive which I was looking for. Traveling down to Florida from Indiana in two weeks, so I'm excited for that!Look at the S&B been on for 8 months and sounds awesome.
