Cooper Discoverer Stronghold ATs

About to put some Stronghold 295/70/18s on the TB with the Ready Lift 1.75 and the RC speedo recal. With a somewhat similar pattern and warranty to AT4Ws, but at only 62 lbs per tire, I will let you know how it all works out since there isn't much on this tire yet. Cheers to getting rid of the stock 32s.
New to the forum and in position of sourcing new tires for my 2021 Trail Boss Custom (completely stock suspension). The original Goodyear DuraTracs are getting pretty lean.

I'm also looking at Cooper Stronghold AT tires for a multitude of reasons.
- Sam's Club sells them (their road hazard coverage is pretty decent)
- Price is reasonable
- Sam's Club (in my area) provides aggressive prorated pricing when replacing tires

I'm looking at 285/75R18 as opposed to @cw98 post of 295/70R18, but have some questions before pulling the trigger.

The Interwebs say this about tire rub, "When it comes to tire rubbing, tire width is generally the bigger factor compared to tire height, as a wider tire is more likely to come into contact with the wheel well or other components of the car when turning, especially if the width is significantly larger than the intended size for the vehicle."

I don't yet have a leveling kit installed and would prefer to run a tire that allows me to get away without cutting or installing a leveling kit. A mud flap delete kit seems reasonable enough. Anybody have real world experience running 285/75R18 tires on stock 18" Trail Boss wheels?

A few months to a year ago we had a user who claimed 285/75/18 Duratracs fit with no level and only slight rub on rear of front liner. According to him, after 5000 mile tire rotation the rub went away. To my knowledge I haven’t seen many other users use this size and if they do hopefully they will chip in.

They were loud, but yes, I remember the GS-D3s I used on my Vette and they were fantastic and deadly in the snow. But they do make some good tires.
