Just joined the forum, thank you for having me!

Bought a 2023 silverado trailboss with the dfm system. I am a mechanic at a fleet shop and got a chance to buy it from a client that didnt want to spend the money to repair a seized lifter that ate up a cam lobe on the camshaft.

I am in the middle of doing a dfm delete,
So far I got the new camshaft installed and lifters. I am getting ready to install the cylinder heads in as soon as I get some time. I came to the forum to ask if anyone was able to get their ecm tuned to disable the dfm system.

Any help would be appreciated, I seen a post by Lynx007 putting the solenoids back in his to get rid of the check engine light. Hopefully I can get in touch with him to see if it worked out for him so far.

If anyone needs any help or info on doing a delete on their trucks id be more than glad to help.

Oh Googled it. I have always heard AFM but the current tech is DFM.

No thanks. Part of why I went 2500HD.
Yeah I wish I had the cash to get me a 2500hd duramax myself. Done a few of those engines but on the older trucks and they are solid engines. Got a good deal I couldn't pass up on the one im working on

How much we talking? Can I get the DFM delete kit for about $1500? What brand of kit do you recommend? Too bad you live in CA! I would drive over to your garage and see if you would help me do the delete! Haha! This is one of the last things I want to do to my rig. I plan on keeping it long term.

Regarding the ECM tuning, yes, there is info about that very issue. You would need to send off your ECM to HP Tuners to have it unlocked and purchase the MPVI3 or MPVI4 interface, buy the credits needed, and download the VCM Beta Suite. Below is a thread of another knowledgeable mechanic with some info you may find useful.
