Ditch lights yes, no maybe so?

I hunt, fish, train my dogs. Thinking of ditch lights to help when on trails, back roads, etc.
Would use aux beam wireless kit
Watched Don's Life for dithc lights, looking fo rother opinions.
Do you guys use them?
Any issues with inspection or LEO?

Which kind, why?
Have read not to get spot and get flood. Makes sense. My thought would be since my truck is white that moutning them in the corners of the hood like most i have seen would cause reflection issues.

I have 4" Yada brand lights I had bought on clearance at a local home improvement store. They are flood lights and I do get a lot of glare off the hood. I have them angled to the side and up. I've only used them on back roads where I know there's lots of deer around. I bought hood hinge brackets off ebay for like $35. I bought some different lights I'm going to put on that are white and amber and will flash between the two.
