Do I need UCAs?

I have the Cognito SM series UCAs on my truck. Functionally I’m sure they are the same but I like the look of the boxed arms. No problems with them in the few months that I’ve had them on, the increase in castor is noticeable from stock when driving.

What is it that you notice while driving?

do note, that when ordering...lets say the RL brand, they offer 2 styles as well...

they have a LEVELED arm and a 4" LIFT arm...the TB would benefit greatly from the 4" LIFT arm as the BJ angle is different
Can you explain further?
How does the 4” help more?
If I leave it at the stock 2” or an inch more is the level bj angle still not enough?

if you are at or going 3" either one would be beneficial. Most that are leveling are going to a 1.75" or 2"...thus netting over 3" of lift as compared to a standard Silverado

this set is for stock or very close to it angles, hence 2" or 6" (the BIG lift relocates the arms to a stock position)

this set, has corrected angles for over 2.5"...so any TB or AT4 getting leveled 1" or greater ON TOP of the stock suspension exceeds the angles needed

You been running them awhile?
Any special alignment issues?
Only been using them for a month with no issues at all. Almost feels like it made the ride smoother.

The dealer was surprised when I brought it in to get aligned because it was mostly still in the green and rwo were barely in the red. Took very light to make it perfect. This is with me replacing the UCA, putting the DSSV struts on and adding a leveling kit.

Just an update. I went w/ the Cognito's after looking at many options and input from other forum members. I think I will be happier w/ getting larger tires on with my factory rims with these UCAs. I also like that it doesn't effect 4 auto and 4 HI.

Just curious how’s this setup been holding up? I plan to do something very similar. I have Bilstein 5100s set to 1.1” with stock 275/65 R18 Tires. I’m curious if those Cognitos would rub? Also how’s the CV Axles and 4WD Auto been treating you? Any advice would help! Thanks again

I took it on a fairly aggressive trail, not dragging aggressive but the setup handled it perfectly. Couldn't be happier. Way better on washboard roads and the extra droop can't hurt. I only use Auto when it's raining, if it's snow/ice or off-road she goes from 2Hi to 4Hi or 4Lo. So far everything looks good.

Thanks for the information, this really helps me out. How’s the clearance with the 275/65 R18 stock tires? I’m ready to pull the trigger on this setup, but I’d hate for it to rub… thanks again!

I’m running 295/70/r18 KO3s. No rub plenty of clearance. I did remove the mud flaps just FYI.
