Engine turns off, NOT auto stop start

Very odd issue. 3 times now, once last fall and twice in the last 2 weeks. Interestingly, the last 2 times was at these exact same spot on the way home from work.
First, I always immediately turn off auto stop right after starting the vehicle.
I’ll get to a stop sign, stop and the vehicle dies. A message will appear on the display that says, Shift to neutral and restart vehicle.
It starts and I drive away. One of the times everything went black but it restarted and then the same message appeared after the fact.
Had the truck at the dealership on Friday for a front alignment check. I told the dealership owner, service advisor and tech what was going on. They found it extremely crazy that the message came up on the screen.
The dongle showed no codes. So they logged in and did a full scan and it showed zero issues or codes related to this. No voltage or communication problems.
So, I’m forced to keep driving it and hope it restarts each time or eventually stores a code.
I find it odd that the computer doesn’t see the normal input from the auto stop or from the actual starter button or an oil pressure issue, etc….to shut down and doesn’t throw a code. And, actually has that message, Shift to neutral and restart, programmed in the computer to display.

Check your battery and connections

The scan showed no current or historical voltage issues.
I did just inspect and tighten all positive and negative battery connections, push to seat all fuses and relays in the 3 fuse panels. All seems fine.

Make sure you check the braided ground straps... not just visually. Pull and twist on them. if corrosion comes out get them replaced.

Service tech and I talked about that TB and what years it was an issue.
Mine is a ‘24. Not in that TB but I’ll try to track them down and check.

Don't just tighten the negative battery cable, take it off for 5 minutes and reconnect. I know it sounds crazy to "reboot" a truck but it works. I was off road driving it hard. I put it into a sideways slide in sand just for fun. It was in 2wd with all the computer nannies enabled. It died and went totaly black. Nothing, no power, no lights, no start. I disconnected the negative cable. it fired up. No codes later on when I checked.

Rebooted the truck and cleaned/ checked whatever grounds I could find. Interestingly, the ground cable behind the passenger front tire sparked when I reattached it. Of course, vehicle off but negative battery terminal on.
Died on me again Friday after work. Time will tell but I have my doubts. Found a few posts about others with the same issue. Am going to replace a couple relays as well.

Oddly enough, I just took off on a 2000 mile ish road trip....Louisiana to STL, the west out Rte. 66

On the way up, my truck seemed to be having a trans issue...so I thought. But temp was 151 on a 100 degree day, 500 miles in....

3 times, the truck loss power to maintain cruise setting...them would rapidly accelerate to the setting...

On the 3 time, the worst event yet....MIL came on, upon checking my I-dash...P129f

P129f is the fuel pump control module, under the bed above the rear diff....

Maybe your issue as well....i have 2 on Order, waiting to complete my journey.

Maybe worth tapping and cleaning on the module....

I’ve had the same thing happen to me multiple times, and it’s only happening when I’m pulling up to my house, my driveway is kinda rough and when I’m hauling ass up the drive way and make a turn it shuts off! I dunno what’s up!

I did buy one for my ‘24. I heard some need programming. Last I heard the late ones do not. Not sure but I have one in the truck as a spare.

Sunday my truck made it out 5 feet out of garage and died - half in garage, half out. Could not put in neutral to push it. Code I read was also the Fuel module with P129F. Had to get it towed to dealer which told me the day after that it would be some time before they could even look at it. I'm thinking of getting it towed back to my house and just replace the module myself. Anybody knows the exact GM module number? Getting conflicting online search results...It's a 2024 5.3L Silverado LT TB. Thanks in advance.

GM Genuine Parts 13554821 Fuel Pump Power Control Module​

this is what i ordered....in fact, i ordered 3...
mine failed on a Friday night...O'Rielly's could overnight on Monday, receive by Tues., No dealers open till Monday...and Amazon would have it by Tues. I was bound to not delay my trip any longer....

it DID NOT need any programming...2 10mm studs, and cam lock connection ( 5 mins tops ) and truck did fine over the last week of road trip.

if anyone has troubles finding one...i have 2 spares available...these are less the 50$ right now as GM is warranting some many and only Delco is making them.

all of mine are Delco, as the part number listed above...

Wish I could at least have the truck store a code. There’s zero info to start troubleshooting.

Have you, or the dealer, tried hooking up a scan tool with live data and driving the truck around? If you can catch the live data during a stall condition you can see if any sensors are out of spec for that moment and they won't trigger a check engine light. If the truck runs rough and then dies I would suspect maybe throttle position sensor, mass air flow sensor or coolant temp sensor. If it stalls quickly, like shutting off the engine, I would maybe suspect crank position sensor, cam position sensor or loss of fuel pressure. Everything works on voltage into and out of the ECM/BCM so all the connections and grounds matter too. You mentioned stalling twice at the same location. Did you hit a bump at that spot causing a loose wire or ground to have a momentary bad connection? Was there a recent software update? It's been a million years since I was fixing cars (OBD1, 35 years ago!) so maybe someone else has more updated ideas...

Hope you find a quick solution and get it fixed... feeling like you can't trust your truck is the worst.
