So, I've been putting off updating the last firmware for a week or two. Today, wife takes truck into town to run errands. We live rural and cell signal from our provider is terrible in town; so today's incident was made more stressful.
Wife stops at the gas pumps; small town single pump with the old fashioned pump-first pay-later honor system. She pumps gas, gets back in truck to move it and nothing... door locks work but ignition is dead.
After 10 or so minutes of thinking she was stuck in town with our only vehicle, she tries again and it starts up like normal. She swears she didn't accept the update, the truck just took it upon itself to become useless for 15 minutes in a fairly inconvenient spot.
I guess I should be glad that we weren't heading to the hospital for an emergency or something more urgent.
Rant over. I really hate these new trucks.
