HP Tuners MPVI4 E90 ECM Service

Is this a chat gpt answer?

Global B trucks are no different in component layout vs global A. A vs B is only a reference to software security. I have a 24 global b tahoe if you’d like me to take a picture showing it’s the same.
It is ChatGPT. I have no other way to research the answers. I even looked on YouTube and found nothing credible.

Basically, I just want to be positive when I remove the ECM and TCM that they are indeed those modules before I send off to HPTuners. Additionally, I could not find any Illustrations from GM about the locations.

Pop the hood and look where I pointed it out. When you take them off they’ll have E90 and T93 as the largest print on their labels.

AI is not real good with this level of detail. I’m answering from experience on multiple 19+ trucks.

Here is what the tcm looks like. https://www.hptuners.com/product/gm-t93-tcm-service-global-b/
And the ECM. https://www.hptuners.com/product/gm-e90-ecm-service-global-b/
I will look tomorrow. Thank God there is someone like you on here! Thanks! So, this is the same module in the driver's side wheel well, correct? I ask because this is how I accessed the ECM to plug in the RA007 DFM Disabler. I should be able to go in the wheel well and remove the ECM and TCM that way, correct?

Yes, same module and location.

Disconnect the battery.
Remove the drivers side wheel liner.
Remove 3 latching connectors (blue, grey and black terminal locks)
Remove ecm
If I remember right there are 3 bolts holding the black plastic ecm/tcm bracket to the frame rail.
The tcm just clips into the bracket snd has one latching connector.

Hp tuners turns them around in a day or two. So total downtime depends on the shipping services you choose. I think mine took 1 week total.

You can plug them back in and the truck will run the same without licensing and flashing s tune. You can license and tune any time you want after that.

Awesome!! Thanks again for your incredible knowledge!! I did look up parameters for safe settings of both the ECM and TCM Stage 1-3. I was considering tuning directly to Stage 2 and if all logs are good to go, then I will consider tuning to Stage 3. What's your thoughts?

That must be a pre built tune by a vendor if they are offering stages. HP tuners just gives you the hardware and software to do with as you please. They don't offer canned tunes.

I just tune for what is needed. If the truck is mostly stock, there is only so much you can do to add power. There are a few things you can do for driveablity, but that's all based on what you want.
