Not sure if this will apply to 22.5+ trucks. You would have to check with your dealer, and if possible, pay for the service. This will also not extend your “remote start” time. This will not disable your “auto start/stop” feature. This will allow your truck to idle as long as it’s in working order and has fuel, but will have to be started from the seat and in park.

This TSB is also mainly targeting individuals with needs to idle their vehicle for hours at a time without it shutting off.

it is important to set the Parking Brake and shift the transmission to Neutral.

Did not know this until researching for this thread but this is actually a workaround for extended idle time

ANY function within the vehicle will keep it running....i have idled my work rig for several hours when cold...usually in the vehicle, but it will continue as long as i operate something inside.
