Lift Kits

Taking my 2022 Trail boss in Monday to install a 6 inch going to attempt to run 24/37/13.5 -44 offset but I did order 35/12.5 just incase. Hopefully the 6 inch kit really does add to the stock 2”..

I have a 2020 custom, it already had a 4” rough country lift kit added to the stock lift, no complaints, rides good.
It has 35” tires, thinking about 37” when it’s time.

Trying to find A 3-4 inch lift that will allow me to keep factory 18” wheels. Everything I find says I can’t use 18” wheels. does anyone know of a lift that will work with 18” with spacers?

Hmm? Interesting? Not sure what you are looking at for kits but you should be able to go down to 17" rims if you really wanted too. I have a 6" lift and I still run 18" rims..........

BDS will fit an 18x9 with 4.5” backspacing and a 34x12.50 tire with several of their 4” options. But I don’t think that is the specs on factory 18” rim. Most kits upgrade/use heavier duty knuckles and/or will have tie rod end interference which is why factory rims usually won’t work.

Most will list preferred rim size/tire combos once the lift is installed but all have the caveat of test fit prior to use. So there’s still a chance you could find the right wheel combo that will clear everything.

Thanks. My goal is to keep the factory 18” wheels and everything I see says no, I guess my question Is, is that a firm no or are there spacers that would allow for 18” factory wheels with a 4” lift on the Trailboss?

I have a 21 TB LT I had a rough country lift installed with lift struts and 35/12.50 and kept my 18inch factory wheels, just have to use 2inch spacers, hope this helps you!

I’m not 100% and hopefully those with more experience will chime in. My understanding is a spacer will increase negative offset and decrease backspacing. According to atleast the website below factory 18s have a 5.77” backspace so a 1.25” to 1.5” spacer would decrease that to the 4.5” range. If that is the only thing these lifts need to make factory 18s work then that would solve the problem. Not sure if other clearance issues are at play though.

I would contact your lift manufacturer of choice and discuss if these options would work. A reputable dealer/installer should also be able to guide you as well.

Can you use auto 4WD with the RC lift?

couple little tid bits pf info here...

1. most 6" lift kits fine print says it is 4" but looks like a 6" similar to standard silverados
2. the wheel diameter is a huge deal, the larger lift KNUCKLES are taller and wont fit within the barrel of the wheel...some aftermarket arms on a level will not either
3. using a spacer changes all the info about aftermarket lift, just need to measure correctly
