Memorial Day Remembrance for my Brothers and Sisters in uniform, who gave their all in support and defense of our Nation. A profound THANK YOU for your service, from a grateful Nation.

That being said, how many of us are out wheeling our Bosses on the Holiday Weekend?

Not me. I live in a tourist/resort hot spot, so our local population increased ten-fold+, over night. Locals, who don't have to work, pretty much stay inside from Thursday - Monday on these Holiday weekends. So I'm just staying indoors and catching some racing on the tube.

And thank you to all my Canadian Brothers and Sisters who have given their lives in serving their country. From an American who still appreciates my neighbors to the North. We all cannot help who and what our government does to create division and animosity! So, God Bless Canada and the U.S. on this Memorial Day in remembrance of those who gave the ultimate price.

Thank you. I consider Canada my "homeland". My (maternal) family is from the UP of Michigan, descended from one of the first European families to settle the "New World" of the north. They were French traders, trackers and later, farmers in what is now Ontario. One of my grandmothers (x4) was First Nation, of the Ottawa Tribe, and was enslaved by that family. Her son, my great (x3) grandfather, was fathered via SA by the 13 year old nephew of said slave's owner.
