MPG question new 2024 Trsil boss w/ 5.3

Thats about right. I average about the same. Long road trips are better but thats average

I am only getting like 16.9 mpg in my new TB just purchased 5 days ago. I took a trip to the shore aprox 150 miles and it was combo highway and driving through small town in Maryland / Delaware. I am only averaging 16.9 mpg first tank of gas. Anybody think this is just break in mpg or is there an issue?
Update getting 21+ mpg now commuting to and from work. I get this by driving the speed limit or within reason 5-10 mph over and steady on the pedal. It is amazing how fast people drive to get to the next light lol what a bunch of idiots!

how far is the commute

Give it a month of driving!
I don't what you would call or what's the reasoning behind it but i too have experienced the same thing and I have the 2023 TB 6.2 under 20mi, with lots of mods...I drive in L10 and @ 73mph i get about 25 -27 hwy....I'm guessing between the mods and the " break-in " if that's a thing, it will come

I agree break in has a large amount and each truck could be a little different but driving habits are huge. If I am not heavy footed I get better mpg. I don’t think I ever got that good in my 6.2 with no mods. But it came with Performance exhaust Catback type. I did have a Pedal commander that’s all but I remember getting 22-24 highway at speed limits.
