I am about to be in the market for new tires. Interested in Nitto Recon Grapplers or BFG K03.

I have absolutely no interest in any type of modification right now but I wouldn’t mind a slightly bigger tire size. Would going up to 275/70/R18 from 65 make much of a difference or rub?

Thanks

Stay away from the Nitto Recon. I had them for almost two years had 35,000 miles on them. Lost wet traction, then the tires cupped. I had them road forced every 4500 miles.

what your pref for an AT tire? Thanks for the insight btw.

That’s only a 33” tire. My stock tires are 33s.

Zero issues with 275/70r18 Toyo OC AT3, no mods. I'm now running the same tire in 285/70r18 with the same results.

Most guys are running 33s no problem on stock setup. 35s you'll want at minimum a leveling kit to clean up the rub on full lock. What trim are you on - LT or higher?

It seems there’s always the 33” or 35” chat. There’s several 34” sizes. I’d think they’d fit with very minimal issues.

I run 34's on my 2024 LT trail boss with no issues. I have the stock lift plus the 2" ready lift on the LT.

Pirelli Scorpion XTM 295 70 18 fit with no rubbing.

I have owned a lot of the BFG KO series (last set were 3s), they were great tires. I just bought a new TB (switched from a F-150) and like the KO3s enough I've considered just switching to them even though the truck has less than 300 miles on it. They are great tires in my experience.

Thanks I’ll look into those. Toyos were also a thought
Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T that's what I am shopping for. Had them on my RAM 1500 and they were bad ass. Drove nice and very aggressive looking.
