New to the forum

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the forum. I've been a bowie tie lover all my 64 years of life. I'm here because my 2024 trail boss has thrown some curve balls at me lately. First, it was the nose camera the AA both went out not hours apart. when online dug up some things that I was led to believe would resolve the issue, but it hasn't. I called my service department set up a visit 13 Aug a day before that visit both items came back online. I kept the visit they checked it out and stated all is working like it should, well yea I brought it in and told you that, did it throw any codes to explain what might have happened. Nope, the service advisor stated all I can tell you is what they tell me and its working........Yea a little ticked off when I left. driving home the entire radio and dash started doing all kinds of crazy stuff. The AC went from low to high fan. the radio was cycling through different pages then to my cell as if I was on a call. then a power button you know the one that is a circle with vertical dash at the bottom. that came up on the big center screen then cycled back to a list of songs, then to my cell like I was on a call. Got it all on video called the service department and told them I'm on my way back this time with video. When I arrived, it was still cycling through a bunch of crap. Warranty guy looked and said order a replacement radio. They had my truck for two weeks going back and forth with TAC at GM. they did a bunch of clearing and uploading the computer. today it seems to be okay, but we are not confident its truly resolved. on top of that DFM and Auto stop. the two things that destroys the 5.3L and 6.2L. I do place the truck in L9 around town that I was told disables DFM by default. If I go interstate over 65 MPH I insert my DFM disabler into the OBD-II port. I always press the Auto stop every time. My patient's are running thin with GM and these useless upgrades. sorry for dragging on but the above is why I'm here what is everyone else doing out there to save the motor from destruction besides voiding a warranty.

Am I to understand that you are removing and reinserting your DFM disabler to tailor what type of driving you're going to do that day? Why not just keep the DFM disabler installed? Curious.

No, I leave the disabled in I was trying to validate whether L9 actually disables DFM. What I found was it does by design given L is for hauling.
