Potentially Leaking Sunroof —Staining Headliner on Passenger Side Help

Hey y’all!

I’ve got a 2022 refresh trailboss and love it. We got some heavy rain a few days ago, and I went out to grab a charger, looked up, and saw water dripping from the passenger side headliner, around the microphone…

There was some dust around the seals which I wiped off, so I’m thinking maybe the seals just got dislodged by some dirt or something like that?

Have y’all seen this before? Any ideas on what to check? I’m hoping to get to the bottom of it before the upcoming rainstorms!

I guess from the lack of replies that this isn't a common problem.

Has it leaked again since cleaning the seals?

GM used to sell a conditioner for door seals, I'm sure they still have it. My trucks have never had a sunroof but I imagine the seals are similar. The conditioner just keeps the seals from drying out and allows for cleaner contact between them.

If the drain holes are plugged water will overflow the track and flood the headliner. Gently clear the drain holes with weed whacker string that is small enough to fit into the tubes. If you push too hard you can disconnect the drain tubes causing other problems. If under warranty see if the dealer will do it for free!

Might have already done this but search for “leaking sunroof.” There is a couple different threads on it but not sure anyone found a definitive solution

I had the same issue with my 2022 TB. After three trips to the dealer they finally found the issue. They had to replace the sunroof rubber gasket. Note: It didn’t always leak after it rained. One time they placed a hose on top of the roof and ran water over the top at different angles and it didn’t leak. Drain holes were clear. Hope this helps, good luck.
