Bought the truck new back in May. 1200 miles on it so far. Today, I dropped the gate to set something on it and a few minutes later it no longer works. Tried everything I can do, including pulling the negative cable and letting it set for awhile. Still nothing. Dash just says "Service power liftgate."
Luckily it failed in the down position, and my bed cover was not latched. I'd be furious if it was the other way, and my cover somehow got damaged by the dealer. Why the failed to put a manual handle on it baffles me. But, I knew that when I made the purchase.
Hopefully Chevy and the dealer will make it right in a timely manner.
