Snowmobiles (off topic)

Apologies to be so off topic. This question certainly doesn’t pertain to trailboss’s except for the fact I’ll be towing them with it. I used to ride but it’s probably been 20 years since. Is anyone here into Snowmobiles? I just moved up to Maine from New York. I’m looking for advice and recommendations on sleds and aftermarket performance parts. If anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated Thank you in advance!

That’s awesome. I knew someone in here would be into riding. When I used to ride I had a Blair Morgan edition skidoo I studded out the tracks and it was the one of the nicest sleds without spending a fortune going bananas and buying a sled that goes 140 mph and runs on a gas. Although I love getting a good whiff of that stuff on the trail. So my number one question is what manufacturer is the most reliable these days? Do you use an online distributor for aftermarket parts or do you just stick with your local dealers? What kind of mods are guys doing these days? I’d say let’s hook up this winter and take a ride but Stetson Maine is still a few hundred miles from the border lol

By the way I really love that matte black finish. However having a bright colored sled probably saved an acquaintance of mine’s wife after she lost it around a turn and went head first into a tree. They were actually riding up near the boarder. This was 20+ years ago so zero cell service, no radios, no personal locator beacons, no gps, only paper maps and and no way to contact emergency services without doubling back a couple hundred miles. It just so happened that an Army reserve Blackhawk was on a standard training flight and their flight path was right over where the accident happened. They actually managed to get one of the pilots or crews attention they landed and took her aboard to the closest hospital. She’s still paralyzed from the neck down but had those flashy colors not contrasted with the white snow she probably wouldn’t be alive at all.
