So, 2024 Chevy trailboss custom 20-in rims mud tires Factory thinking of adding 2-in spacers any opinions or advice

Hey boys and girls, so I have a 2024 Chevy trailboss custom,
Options at present:
Factory 20-in rims
Factory mud tires
No mods... thinking of adding 2-in spacers any opinions or advice? I'm thinking 2-in spacers but any pictures of narrower spacers are welcome. I'm just looking to widen the stance so it doesn't look so much like a skateboard. Thanks in advance

This definitely would add stress to the ball joints if that is a concern. Also if you do not have running boards you might be exposing the downstream body panels to more rock projectiles as well as increased sand/snow/salt spray.

I do have running boards I'm just looking and wondering if maybe just putting a larger Tires on cuz I'm getting all kinds of feedback as to zero offset rims but I would need to do an additional 2-in lift which I'm really not looking to go that radical I just want the shoes to look a little beefier LOL I'm wondering how large/wide I can go without rubbing? if your looking at a reputable set of spacers... you can get the correct offset wheel for not much more

So, due to VERY mixed reviews, (mostly negative) no spacers! Without any mod, how tall/wide can I go without tire rubbing? I appreciate the responses/help with this!

Seems that you can go taller OR wider with no mods. It is trying to go taller AND wider that can cause clearance issues.
There are 2 kinds of "no rubbing" - on-road and then off-road at full articulation. Then there is the type/profile of tire, whether it has squared or tapered shoulders, etc. Then there is the factory rake, which does not seem consistent. Mine has an almost level rake (~0.5") but others seem to have as much as 1.5-2" rake.

I believe ~11.5" wide is about it before you run into risk of hitting UCAs and need different offset rims or spacers. 35" high may be a working tall limit for on-road activity .

I went with 275/65/20 (34.1x10.8) which are no rub at off-road full-articulation but am confident I could have gone 285/65/20 (34.6x11.2) with possible minor off-road rubbing. 295/60/20 (33.9x11.6) may be a possibility for the right tire as well. Different manufacturers, and even models within a brand, can vary in exact dimensions for a given size rating.

when selecting tire size...calculators are a rough round about of the math....

look up the manufacture's actual size chart...

this is a very useful tool for tire size, if take a few measurements....

I've been running 2" spacers in the winter for 4 years now with no issues on the factory wheels. I run -15mm offset wheels(20x10) in the summer and added fender flares for a beefier look. Without the spacers in the winter it looks dumb with the flares.
