What's new

So new it hurts

you know, you make a great point. The scoop is black, the bumpers also. I have to replace one Z71 emblem on the right fender(replacing the fender) I'm going to give that some serious thought, thanks Murph
COLOR MATCH IT ALL....all TB's have the black, set it apart

i am considering upgrading to a 26 soon...and will not go black again, i want something all one color

This morning I hooked the battery up. The truck air bags didn't explode and nothing caught on fire 🔥 😳. Went to start the truck and display said can't find key. I placed the fob in the center console and tried to start, and it fired right up. Filling the cooling system took some time, and no leaks! I still have an air bag symbol but the guys at the tin shop said that's normal. A guy they use is coming to clear the codes or whatever. I drove the truck to the body shop(first drive) and I love the truck.

update: I took the truck to The Tin Shop (local body shop) about Nov 17th. They have been pretty busy, so no work on my truck till last week. Painted base coat on new hood and new pass fender, clear coat comes later. Work then started on bedside. It was "killed" as they call it. The first pic is my truck after wash getting ready to head to body shop. The other pics are bedside before and after, one of two areas to be fixed. Estimate for fix bedside, paint and blend drivers fender, hood, pass fender and whole right side blend, is 4k. That includes putting it back together and making gaps perfect etc...I will be helping.

A short update. My truck went into the paint booth this morning. Two of the pics show the gaps hood/fenders. The driver side gap in the picture looks off, it's not, the picture makes it look off for some reason. I thought these pictures could be of use showing the underside of the hood scoop. Which I think I'm going to wrap in carbon fiber. Monday they will start the cut and buff, I'm going down and help put it back together.

A lot of sweat poured into this job! Great work!

As of yesterday..... we put the front end parts on my truck. The front and rear bumpers were painted and cleared. I powder coated the exhaust tips. The hood scoop will go on Monday. After that the truck goes to the shop for the alignment and replace the passenger wheel, it was badly scratched up. This has been such a great project for me. Not sorry.

Wow! It's come a long way.

Well the day finally arrived. My TB went to shop for two tires and a front end alignment last week. I picked it up today. Im stoked, it drives so great.
I cleared almost all the codes except both front airbag sensors, and a TPMS front right. The one picture is what it looked like when i won it at auction. I pulled all the badging and decals.
I bought the front sensors from ebay...I guess I will have to get OEM sensors from GM @ about $400 for both.

Wow!! Amazing job! Enjoy!

A lot of work, 👏. Drive it and enjoy, hope you get the last few little bugs worked out. No need for numbers, but assuming you came out ahead versus buying?

I don't mind sharing. 24k for the truck at auction, 7k in parts all new. a little over 5k for paint and body work, 1k for two new tires, minor front end alignment issue w/alignment after and complete a/c test and recharge. So right at 37k for a 2025 LT TB w/6800 miles. I think I did ok. I did all the disassembly, removed and replaced/welded in the center core support , removed the dash to replace the pass air bag, replaced the drivers air bag, removed center console to access SRS module and seat belts sent off to myairbag, com ....

Any clues as to what this hole is for and what does it look like on your truck. I'm guessing this new piece should have come with a plug?
