At 59 I’m fully aware this morning that I’m not 30 anymore. Lol. Everything hurts.

Ordered Bilstein 6100s up front and 5100 rear shocks from Shock Surplus on 17 July, 26. The website said 2-3 weeks. That expired so I called. They said that’s a glitch in the system. It’s really 4-6 weeks. That expired so I looked on the website and it said 2-3 days. I called and they said that’s wrong. They had to order the top hats. WTF!!!! After 8 weeks they showed up. Tore everything down after work yesterday. Installed Readylift UCAs as well.
Couldn’t get the damn coil over in. Struggled and got more pissed off by the minute. Then I remembered the 3 studs on the top are not equally spaced. Called Shock Surplus and asked why the hell did I custom set up coil overs if you can’t assemble them right. They didn’t give a shit. The reply was reassembling my truck till I could have a shop loosen and adjust the top hat. My response to him was brief.
I clamped them in a bench vise and loosened the nut a bit and spun them. My point is, that was bs.
After that all went well. I had them set the coil overs at stock height. Honestly, I believe I lost height. About a 3/8”.
Have a slight clunk I need to check out today. Only drove it last night about 2-3 miles in the rain so the ambient noise clouded things. May drive some more to see if anything settles.
