Telematics Module

Since the 2022.5+ refreshed Silverado Trail Boss' (my 2025 LT TB) had the interior updated and altered from Global A to Global B architecture, I am hoping someone on here can direct me where the telematics module is located because I want to disconnect the Fakra coaxial antenna connector from it to eliminate future OTA updates. Since I had my ECM and TCM unlocked (upgraded) by HP Tuners, I do NOT want to chance any of these future GM updates causing havoc on my unlocked ECM and TCM. So, has anyone completed this process of finding the location of the module? If so, would you tell me where it is located so I can gain access to it. I simply do not want to blindly start removing trim panels, etc. Thanks!

Found what I was looking for finally. It is actually in a very accessible location....just had to do a little research before I started tearing into my truck, which I fortunately did not need to do after all. Here is the Onstar/GPS telematics module I was searching for.

Also in the driver's side A pillar the wires come from the antenna on the roof and have a connector there you can unplug for the Onstar and SirusXM.

i wanted to mention, i believe it is between the pedals, right in the open.


if you have not removed it, do some digging here...some claim,
unplug and remove (only down side is loss of navigation and onstar...not all bad)
others claim,
you will need a flash from dealer, as the BCM could bug out if you have the sensor in the windshield...

i almost pulled mine awhile back to avoid updates, but got stalled for time researching it all

I have not unplugged it yet...i wanted to find the connectors. I do not want to have the dealership do any kind of flash write. So, I will look into this a bit more before deciding to unplug. I am assuming as long as I only unplug versus removing the Onstar daughterboard, I should be ok. If the BCM does "freak out", I am hoping just plugging the Fakra connector back onto the Onstar coaxial will fix it.

i state that also from a past 2017 Suburban i purchased...
i had the windshield replaced, shop mentioned it having the WRONG one when removed...the new one once flashed, open a world of new features to me...all of the crash assist, blind spot etc...was now present and working (didnt care for most of that), but didnt realize it had it either, until it did...
