Tire Load Range?

With most, E's are generally overkill on a half ton but there are a lot benefits as well. SL ties should not come on a truck period. I have popped SL tires from hitting potholes on our shotty roads here. More sidewall generally mean they are firmer, carry additional weight, sure, but they have compounds that last longer, are better in snow and off road, look better, and have way more sizes available. A C/D is plenty and offer many benefits of both, lighter and less unsprung weight but are a lot harder to find in my experience. I have ran the wildpeaks at3, at4, and toyo at3s in recent years. I like the toyos for that reason, they are 14 lbs lighter then the at4s. They offer similar warranties, treadlife, the Toyos seam to perform better in snow. The wildpeak at4 was the most quiet fwiw.

I went with Falken A/T3W in 8 ply. This summer will be spent searching ghost towns in Nevada, and I will just feel more comfortable. I'm running them at 35 lbs. and they roll smoothly with full tread contact.
