Towing Upgrade

Look at the rating on the receiver. 700 pound lounge weight max or 1k with equalizer hitch. Minimum tounge weight is 10%. So 10k would be max anyway. The heaviest thing I tow is my 7k rated travel trailer. Also my tilt deck trailer also rated at 7k. But doesn't weigh over 5k with the Vette on it or 4k with the Jhon Deere on it. My 14k cargo trailer and 10k deck over flat bed only go behind the old Duramx 2500. We'll unless it's an empty move. I towed the cargo trailer home from the dealership with the Trail Boss. But it was empty. It would be OK with a light load on either one. But that's why I kept the old truck when I bought the new one. For heavy stuff.
