I kept getting irritated about the antenna hitting the garage door when I pulled out or went in to garage .
so I almost bought a new one / shorter . kept looking and not liking the prices or heights .
well the height that came with truck was 1" to high for my garage door .
dingding light bulb moment , took the antenna off set in vice and hack saw time ! cut off 2 inches ( before I cut off I wiggled the round little knob off ) it was pressed in . then I cut.
after that the shaft was a little wider as you go down so I filed the end at an angle and pressed the round knob back in couple hits on the concrete floor and it was wedged in tight. spray painted it black and installed it . backed out and it is 1/2 inch below the garage door
HAPPY CAMPER - I AM :D
anyway maybe someone else can save some coins doing this took all of 15 minutes .

LOOKS GOOD , as a fellow gun owner I thought about that one too , but im cheap LOL
did not want to spend the money on something I already have .

Thanks! I also got a free set of tire valve caps with a flag on them, along with the antenna.

However, since I often have to drive in California and Oregon , MY antenna is actually an Atlas Rocket ship. Yeah. That's the ticket. No need to stop me, Mr. CHP & OSP Officer.

been doing this since the early 90's on all my vehicles. best play in the book, keeps in stock appearing...yet serves the purpose.
