Used to have a 2.8 in the Colorado/canyon platform but believe it’s discontinued.
You are correct and took a little worry off me....bought my 3.0 in April....i think thats what the dealer told me...as i was signing paperwork and they were trying to get me to pay for an extended warranty which immediately sent me into ( i hate people and fucking dealerships mode)...but thats what it says on sticker 5yr/100k on drivetrainPowertrain is 5/100K...
Ill buy an extended warranty assuming 5yrs from now no problems and i still own the truck...pretty high percentage since i still have my 30yr old z71...GM and Nissan dealers have been attempting to sell me extended warranties for years. now it it Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes and most likely the corner hot dog joint. It's like the tip for service at Subway, or the local Pizza place, it is way for people to make more money. And not one time has anyone been able to tell me who gets tip money. Does it actually go to the workers or the owner and is it no just a way for the owners to pass costs on to customers as tips, vs raising prices and increasing pay as in the olden days.
However, I will agree, that this 3.0L is the first time in decades, I have purchased an extended warranty.
However, the TB is for pulling a trailer and then driving where we go. For home, I usually jump into the Frontier to pedal around town. It has been a carefree vehicle that only fault is the info screen could have had better resolution..
