2024 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss has Sport Mode in a 3.0 Duramax?

I have a 22 Refresh 6.2 and also no sport mode. From what I gather, both the 22 and 23 ZR2s also do not have it. Best I have been able to deduce is that sport mode is tied to tires (pre-refresh all had it - so this doesn't apply). I have the 18s with the duratracs (so the MTs = no sport mode). I think those who have the 20s and the optional all terrains have sport mode.
Mines a pre-refresh and I don’t have it

I have a ‘22 refresh, 3.0 with the sport mode. It has the tech package as well, not sure if that affects anything.

I am thinking it has something to do with the size wheels. I am incline to agree with that opinion that was mentioned here earlier. I also noticed in some of the refresh reviews online that it is the 20" that include sport mode.

Wheel size is certainly part of it - but the 20s can have either MTs (Wrangler Territory MTs) or All Terrains (think the Goodyear Trailrunner ATs). The duratracs that come on the 18 inch rims, while more of a hybrid type tire, are consider MTs at least by GM. I do not think the 20s with the Wrangler Territory come with sport mode.

Don't think its tech package specific - I have that as well. Which tires?

I have a 22 Refresh 3.0 with NO Sport mode. With the 20s and Wrangler Territory tires.

My 22 TB Duramax has it and I think Ive used it once.... This truck already hauls ass and has great power so no need to switch into sport mode

I miss it for the rev hang (engine braking) on deceleration in certain situations - had it in most of my past vehicles, and while I didn't always use it, did like it from time to time and miss it. I don't need the transmission always shifting up to higher gears as it likes to do on its own.

Also dislike the the manual mode and how the paddle shifters only lock out gears and is not like an actual manual mode - but that's its own thing.

I just picked up my 24 Duramax and it does have a Sport mode.

Just like the title says. My 2023 with the 5.3 doesn't come with that option. So weird how they decide what gets what. I only have Normal & Offroad.
But the less power engine gets it. Kind of ticks me off. But I would like to know if there is a reason that I am missing.
I temporarily owned a 2019 Custom Trail Boss with the 5.3 and and 6-speed automatic transmission, and it did not have sport mode. My 2021 LT Trail Boss with the 6.2 and 10-speed automatic transmission does have it. I read somewhere that the 6-speed's do not get the sport mode function. Not sure if that is true or not. I imagine the Duramax comes with the 10-speed. What transmission do you have? Curious if there is any truth to that.
