Automatic running boards

I had a set of AMP steps on my Tundra for 6 years. I hunt in the swamp and have to go down muddy, gravely, oilfield roads in south Louisiana. They held up fine. When I would see that they weren't retracting during hunting season due to mud and debris, just go to the carwash, blow off all of the crud, and use a good spray lube, or oil. Not WD-40. I used Ballistol non-aresol spray.
Thanks! This is exactly what I was looking for when I posted.

So, I’m over these shitty amp steps. That said, I’m thinking about the e boards form RC. Anyone have the e boards for a while? What are your thoughts?

I just purchased a set of BoostAuto Luma Step M2. Considering their price, I hope they are amazing. Currently they are sitting in the garage waiting to install on the 13th.

What's so bad about them? I see you also live in Michigan. The slop and ice that builds up on my static running boards is crazy. I can't imagine power boards and them actually working in the crap we've had the last couple weeks.

I think I recall reading somewhere for those up north, there is some extra cleaning that needs to be done on any powered running boards.

They freeze up constantly. I’m thinking that if I’m going to continue using power steps that they will need to be dual motor. I love power steps, I just don’t love amps. I clean and lube them regularly, but here we are.

I’ve had good luck with boost products. Please keep us posted on these steps.

I don't have current pics, but I didnthe RC boards back in late 23....still going strong. I have about 40k miles on my rig and it sees Missouri winters (which is all frozen slush) and they have done jist fine. I think the dual motors help that, and I have even open to crushing sounds of frozen snow banks....

They do tuck up nicely too....they provide extra washers to give them more tilt...
