Black Exhaust Tips

For anyone with the chrome HDMI tips who want black, just get a can of spray paint in your choice of color. Scuff up the chrome tips, Mask off the area, and spray them. $10 and you're done. I know everyone wants perfection but this is one mod where perfection is not necessary

I painted mine flat black and they came out great and go great with the flat black steps

Those look great. Either gloss or matte would look better than chrome if you are going for the blackout look. Sh**! now I gotta add another thing to the list. I would think high-temp engine paint would work if you wanted to make them gloss.

I found a set on Amazon (probably made from chinesium) and they look pretty well made and almost have a satin finish in between a matte and a gloss. It is deep winter here in the northeast and I just didn't want to deal with painting. So today it made it up to 20F so I decided to install them before the deep-freeze and snowstorm (tonight/tomorrow). Pretty easy except for those tabs that hold the step-bumper housings in place. Looks better than the chrome on my truck (IMO) and I believe it adds 5 HP too (kidding, LOL)

Damn! More white stuff comin' my way?! Haha! I currently live east of ya in northern Vermont! I agree! I swapped out the ugly chrome off of mine as well. Like the black tips way better than chrome.

I've been following along and decided my exhaust tips have to be black. I powder coated mine.

update: January 23rd ....my salvage build is getting real close to being finished. Powder coated exhaust tips came out good...n'est-ce pas?
