Congrats! Don't be like me and let that level kit sit on a shelf in your garage for several months. I'm coming up on 6 months of collecting dust.my 24 TB, leveling kit just arrived...
Haha why is that? Tbh I got a good deal on the ready lift 1.75” leveling kit back in October and have yet to put it on as well. I’m only waiting til I’m ready to replace the duratracs with bigger tiresCongrats! Don't be like me and let that level kit sit on a shelf in your garage for several months. I already put the bigger tires on out of necessity, lol. I wanted to wait on those, too. Fortunately, they fit. 285/75r18. 2 reasons I haven't put the readylift 2" leveling kit on my truck are both due to time. My wife is active duty and work keeps her busy. I'm often flying solo taking care of our 3 kids. Everything is on me. The other issue is that other projects are in line ahead of the level kit. I recently finished my CB, GMRS, and Ham radio stealth installs. That took almost 15 months to finish. I'm now in the middle of an ARB air compressor install in the bed of my truck. I'm hoping to have that finished this weekend. Travel baseball tournament season is starting in about 3 weeks, so I'm going to lose a lot of my weekends. I may not get to the leveling kit for another year (seriously). When travel baseball tournament season is winding down football and cheerleading are getting started.Haha why is that? I have 2 different style 2" front lifts that I've had in the barn before I bought my truck and it's coming up on 2 years now! I also have 2 different sets of 17's with 35" tires sitting for a year.Congrats! Don't be like me and let that level kit sit on a shelf in your garage for several months. Well jeez that makes total sense..you’re busy as hell! Lol..so would you be installing the leveling kit yourself? I think I’ll just get mine installed when the time comes. I have no problem being hands on, but some things I just leave to the professionals.I already put the bigger tires on out of necessity, lol. I wanted to wait on those, too. I will be doing it myself. Iirc, the estimated time for doing the job is 4 hours, so I need to block off 12-16 hours to do it, plus time to go get an alignment. Looks like 2 days of work to me. I'm deliberately slow on things like this. Attention to detail, thread locker, torque specs, etc. I also need good weather since I don't have a garage tall enough for my truck. Fortunately, I'm in western Florida so it doesn't get cold out here.Well jeez that makes total sense..you’re busy as hell! Lol..so would you be installing the leveling kit yourself? First was just a lower spacer kit, some cheapy off ebay. I found a MotoFab kit that is the same as the SST kit, only MUCH cheaper at $60. It has the spring preload spacer and a top spacer. I bought a 3" block and a rear shock extender.which kits do you have?
