Coilover info

It seems to take on rough roads/potholes much better. I haven't had a chance to take it offroad/trails yet. I upgraded the tires at the same time and got away from those Goodyears. (I hate Goodyears, lol!) Hell, the tires alone improved the overall ride quality. It's also not a daily driver either due to having a work truck. My wife's 2022 Tahoe drives like a Cadillac but that's the difference between a SUV and truck.
thanks for the feedback. I daily drive my truck so I'm curious what difference it makes over normal road, dips, bumps, and general rough pavement.

Yeah I’ve watched every shocksurplus video. But I’m still unsure what route to go because theres a lot of conflicting info out there from real reviews that purchase.

The thing with “real reviews” is, some of these folks modify their vehicle cuz it’s the thing to do.
They wouldn’t necessarily know the difference between any of the coil overs in a given situation. They too, read reviews and believed them to be gospel.
I’m not doggin on these folks at all. I’m just saying if you watched the video those guys live and breathe that stuff. Their reviews and opinions should carry far more weight than a so called real review from folks who use these trucks as grocery gitters but giving reviews on off road suspension.
Listen to the pros, read reviews but take them at face value only.

agreed, if the average joe was given each on the same truck and condition...they would know. but most people want a CADILLAC ride from an offroad vehicle and dont understand...that can happen, but you cant go slow to do it.

All great advice and feedback, thanks. I actually got super lucky just a few days ago. In my search, I have also been checking online for a set of the ZR2 DSSV struts and shocks. Been telling myself if I can find a set and stick with OEM + upgrade, I would. And this weekend I saw a new post for a new set taken off at an off-road shop near me. Picked em up for cheap and love them so far. Can definitely tell a difference, only been a few days but I'm seeing the improvement.

Nicely stated! IMO, if you bought the TB and never go off road, well, you bought the wrong vehicle and probably could have got a two wheel drive. :ROFLMAO:

Because then I wouldn't have had to wait two years to get the one I wanted. Like I said earlier in thread. If you are going off road, spend the money and do it right. Only two truck service places touches my vehicle.

you need to reach out to PAXPERFORMANCE or others like BAJAKITS, DESET KINGS ans so on...they have the customers buying ZR2's and doing better suspension upgrades. i have seen a couple sets of the DSSV's for sale...almost grabbed the last set, i think they were asking 2K$ iirc

exactly. I was talking to a guy at Pax Power and they had a set but were using for development. Nice guy and they will sell them if/when they have them. I got mine locally and paid $1,800
