Currently looking for a Trail Boss

I had cloth seats in my 22 non refresh 1500 trailboss and have cloth seats in my 25 2500 trailboss. My experience won’t be the exact same as yours with mud and muck as mine is more dirt and dust. I think I prefer the cloth seats over the perforated leather I had in my 20 2500 LTZ from a comfortability standpoint. Maybe I’ve just gotten used to the cloth but I haven’t had any issues. Overall I’m pretty careful inside my vehicle and constantly remind my two kids to do the same. Obviously haven’t had either for the long haul to comment on durability.

I, personally, wouldn’t let cloth hold you back if the vehicle checks your boxes and the deal is right. Too many other options out there to remedy that; the RC neoprene covers, carhartt covers, or even katskinz leather can be had for reasonable prices. Or heck, work katskinz into the deal. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the feedback. Not sure if Chevy has renewed their truck seats since 2018, but the cloth ones in the TB seemed “snugger” which I like. Possible the difference between leather and cloth?

Anyhow, I’m at 90% for the TB I saw last night.

Any opinions on a 2022 Silverado 1500 LTD LT Trail Boss. Found one locally with 58k miles at a fair price in very good condition. Debating being poor and getting the new 2025 or get the 2022 and have some money left for a few mods.

Depends how much you like the new dash and the limitations for mods of the Global B electrical architecture.

I have a 23 with cloth, the seats are FAR more comfy than my 23 denali with leather...
My buddies 25 TB with leather is very similar in comfort to my cloth....

I feel my cloth is the more plush as the interior feels softer appearing and absorbs more overall noise....just my opinion. But everyone who rides in it, comments how nice the seats feel

You are going into depths I have yet to discover. Please enlighten me more. Is there a preferred year for newer architecture as a base vehicle?
Just there's a lot of unknowns with the Global B architecture and people are just starting to crack it for tuning, but it gets WAY more expensive. Also lots of things you could just plug in with the Global A and make work, don't work on the B trucks. Some people love the Android integration, while others have issues and don't like it after having it for several months. To keep the speed limit appearing in the cluster, you have to keep an active OnStar subscription. Older trucks you can get a Rough Country speedo corrector and it just plugs inline. There is no such thing for the Global B trucks without spending $1500+ for a tune as dealers won't update tire sizes unless it's a GM approved wheel and tire combo. Range finally came out with DFM disable for the Global B trucks a few months back, but there was nothing for over 2 years until they figured out how to crack the code. You could also consider that 2027 is supposed to be the release of a next gen Silverado, so do you want to wait and save your money for that?

????

Kind of like I said about pricing in another post...
Global B is evolving daily....

Pre 22.5, Global A
22.5 up, Global B

When you read about dislikes and likes....pay attention to the model.year, dash and in most cases...how the grille-headlight combo looks, the appearance makes it easy once you know

I am THE GUY, that states...nothing newer than 86, but in reality 94. But everytime I get in one of my 3-23's....I love every second. Even my company issued 24 GMC Pro is great ride

Looks like I'm stuck with Global B. Drove a 2025 LT Trail Boss in Cypress Gray home last night. I felt compelled to trade up as my 2018 suffered form the ailments of the 8-speed tranny. I bought it as a certified pre-owned and it was in the shop twice for the tranny while under the extended warranty. Transmission continued to decline in ride comfort and shift quality. I don't intend to make any radical changes as the factory 2" lift "should" meet my offroad needs. Next tire replacement may go slightly larger, but I can survive without calibration as I did with my 2018. Hopefully the "code crackers" will have Global B figured out by the time I need new tires.
