I sold a 2020 Honda Ridgeline ONLY because it was about 2" lacking in ground clearance for the rough mountains where I live. I hear you loud and clear. I am giving my local ( 42 miles away) Chevy dealer a chance to shine or fall on their face. I raced cars professionally for Oldsmobile road racing and GM was very good to me back then. The 2.7L Turbo is a technology that we developed to some degree from that racing back in 80's-90's with Quad 4. I can tell you that the Honda Ridgeline was mostly trouble free but I take good care of things. However many have water leaks, wiring issues, poor quality control etc. The homogeneous nature of production now tends to have quality at similar levels. The delta is the support the manufacturer gets from their dealers. Sounds like your Acura dealer has that in spades. Until Honda/Acura make a trail boss type vehicle you are stuck....LOL But I hear you loud and clear. These stories make my buying experience seem “perfect” but at the time I was pissed.
I bought / paid for mine in late Dec 2020 while it was “incoming”. Took delivery mid January. Just seems odd that I paid for a truck in 2020 and didnt see it until 2021.
I’m kinda old (57) and wonder if my generation is the last to tolerate GM’s arrogance and pathetic customer service?
I really like my truck but I get treated 100% better at my wife’s Acura dealer than I do at Chevy and it’s not a $ thing because the Acura was $10k cheaper.
