Dfm/auto start and stop disabler for 2022 refreshed???

Read an article on GM Authority about the function of the paddle shifters on Silverados. Surprisingly if you go to “L” on the console shifter, you can toggle the gear to “9”. This limits shifting to 9th gear but also disengages the DFM and Auto Start/Stop functionality. Did this on my 25 TB and seems to work well. I drove back from NC to PA in combination of highway, backroads and stop/go traffic. Still managed 20.8 mpg without DFM.
