Ditch Light Brackets for 2021 TB - Opinions and Pics

@mlakey130 - Yes your opinion, pictures and review assisted in my decision to buy after installing the RC brackets (that I wasn't thrilled with). Thanks...

Bracket came in today - due to weather, I'll probably have to wait until the weekend to install.

1st impressions - I haven't seen anything packages so well in a long time. The bracket are definitely heavy duty - thick steel and all the parts seem to be high quality.
It is worth the added cost that the RC brackets - that will be up to each individual and what they are looking for. (I still think they are overpriced but they are the only ones who make these brackets).

Below is a pic of the brackets and as soon as I get them on, I'll do some photo editing to compare with the RC's.

Got time today to install the Rough Country light controller and get my SS3s hooked up. Not many options to mount the controller, but found a spot to mount and love the brightness of the SS3s.

Nice install which model SS3 are they (Sport/Pro/Max)? I have there SS3 Pro's in the bumper, awesome lights.
In reference to the switch panel, I have the Auxbeam which is same as the RC switch panel (for the most part). I mounted it with industrial strength Velcro on top of the fuse box, hasn't moved in 1+ years.
I'll be using the area you mounted yours in for my winch control box. (working on bracket for it now)

I have the SS3 Sport Combo. I like how you mounted the control box. I didn't even think about doing that!

How did you run the wiring to the back of the lights? Did you cove the connector with something? My only complaint about the DD mounted here is this connection. (They don’t have the nice pigtails coming out of them).

And what a pain in the but mounting those brackets.

I’ll post pics when all done.

Ok.. Have one side mounted and wiring started. Not sure how I feel about how I ran the wiring.

Custom made some cables up and liking it now… custom made the cables so the connector is black and you can’t see the wiring thru the mesh cover that is exposed.

Finished and working…

The amber is the backlight - the actual lights are white. When I get a chance, I’ll take some pics at night.

I drilled a hole in the plastic cover and routed my wiring thru. Yes, the SDHQ mounts are gymnast level tricky to get installed...lol

I'm a huge fan of the RC ditch lights. Easy install. Durable and good light options for whatever you want (spot or flood). I've put these RC kits on my last 3 vehicles and have never had any issues at all. Surprisingly, these ditch lights get more comments from folks at gas stations, parking lots, etc.. than just about anything else I've done to the truck (don't tell my wife...since it's about one of the cheapest mods I've done so far :) )

that's gorgeous! did you have raise the truck to fit those rims/tires in?

Ever have bouncing issues with either of these mounts? I've tried both and get bad bounce from vibrations and bumps. Looking for a fix....

I have the SDHQ mounts and haven’t noticed any vibrations during beach driving.

What lights are you running? I have some auxbeam 4.5 xp ultra pods. I'm thinking they are too heavy and contributing to my issues.

I am running the Diode Dynamics SS2.
Have a set of SS3 I will be swapping out for eventually. See my post earlier in this thread for pics with the SS2
