I had a 22 refresh Custom TB no DFM as well and ended up being a Lemon. Also, with many others answers, I too only show Normal, Off-road, Sport, and Tow/Haul modes. I tried mine switching into 4LO and turning the "Drive Modes" dial until it would possibly show "Terrain" mode. However, it does not have it. I think it may have something to do with having a two-speed transfer case versus a single-speed transfer case.

FWIW, From what I recall on my past '24 colorado ZR2 (L3B, 8 spd) it had normal, tow/haul, off-road, terrain, and baja. I don't recall a sport mode.
I think it had to be in 4hi or 4lo for 'terrain', which would apply brakes if you let up on the gas.
off-road would be for snow/ice.
baja was for sand dunes and required 4hi (i think)

And as far as I know, the closest setting to the "Terrain Mode" on a TB would be 4LO + Off-road drive mode selected. At this setting, it will be more like the Terrain mode. It will crawl and going up and down terrain, you "supposedly" can incorporate one pedal action. I will check this out to see if this is how it acts in this mode combo. Yeah, that is one awesome thing about the ZR2s having all the drive modes plus the manual locking diffs.

2025 LT 5.3L

Coworkers 24 5.3 LT3

tow / haul as all should have that

I sometimes miss the Drive Mode control on my past Jeep Rubicon. It added Theft-Deterrence and Jump-Start to the modes ;)

Man I would love this truck with a manual trans and locker. Miss having a manual transmission and it's been years since I had one.

What motor do you have? I have sport mode on the 3MAX (which kinda does not make sense ;)). I wonder if the 2.7 L3B's do not have it? They have the 8-spd tranny too (I think).
5.3 motor with the 10 speed. Can switch to off road, does a bouncing animation, and that's it. Mine was during a lot of the chip shortages, so who knows. Plus side: mine did not come with DFM.

Unfortunately [as I believe] it still has the
special collapsible hydraulic lifters which deactivate cylinders by collapsing so the valves don’t open. Also, the camshaft
uses specific lobe profiles designed for DFM operation. So, even though there is no chip controlling anything via the ECM, it still has the component parts. Unfortunately, it still can fail, but you are in a much better position. That is why I at least installed a DFM and Auto Stop/Start Disabler to help as much as possible. I cannot afford a complete mechanical delete.

Off-road mode on these trucks is genuinely impressive for a stock setup - the way it manges throttle and traction on loose terrain is a big step up from previous gen. Still impressive after few years with it
