Driving with 35s and the 5.3

I had a 2020 RST w/5.3L that I put a 6" lift on with 35x12.50r20 Toyo M/Ts on and I didn't feel that big of a difference. RPMs were surprisingly low too while accelerating. Couldn't tell you on the towing part other than your MPG will drop significantly.
Now I have a 2021 TrailBoss w/6.2L. Just put on 295/70r18 Toyo R/T Trails last Friday. So far, I have no regrets!!

**Sorry for the double post mods! I couldn’t figure out how to move my thread from the 5.3 engine section to the tire section since it’s more so about tire size

Hey Guys!

Thinking of switching from my 275/65/20 tires to nitto 35x11.50x20 tires.

For those of you guys with 35s and the 5.3, is it a complete turd to drive and sluggish or is it still fairly decent?

Not looking to win any races but would like to ensure that my truck will still have plenty of passing power.
Thanks in advance
19 Custom 5.3. 35x12.5x20. I have a speedo adjuster and had no issues for over a year. Towing a 2 horse trailer or not, plenty of power to giddie up. You may notice a bit heavier braking because of the added wheel & tire weight.

Do any of you guys have 35s on a refresh truck? How does it drive and shift without having the Speedo corrected for the 35s?

There is No pulsar support yet for these trucks as of today

I don't know about refresh but you're going to want to get a speedo adjuster
