All aggressive AT tires get loud around the 20k mark. Duratracs are among the louder examples, but I have come to find that it's moreso the timbre of sound that they make that's the problem. The Nitto RG's on my Wrangler are at 28k miles and loud as hell too...but the noise they make is duller in timbre and thus not as annoying.
That sounds about right. I was having trouble trying to describe the noise. I have BFG KM2's on my Wrangler and love that sound. The Duratracs were just a terrible noise. All aggressive AT tires get loud around the 20k mark.
