Exhaust recommendation

start with a Banks Pedal Monster....that was the biggest change.

i will say, i ran a bone stock 6.2...mine was on a 35, Borla, Airaid MIT and Pedal Monster on City 4...i let him take the hit and i walked past him with the rear tires spinning (intentionally) and was out by about 4 trucks

I was wondering if the pedal monster was better than going with a pulsar I had read several reviews on each and was leaning towards the pedal, but got a really good deal on the pulsar. I’m pretty sure you don’t run both correct

what year is your truck > 22 ? refresh or not....Pulsar may not be available.
but if it would work, then it does have throttle adjustability...not sure how much

the Banks unit has City, Track and Race,,,,each as about 6 settings

I looked up if the pulse would work under my VIN number and it was applicable I have a 2022. I have heard good things about the pedal monster. I just wasn’t sure which route to go.

that would be similar to the old STACKING TUNERS days of the diesel world...the only reason it seemed to work was the table varied slightly and may have difference in very minute areas

i would look into how each functions...and what adjustability it has

i know the banks defaults to stock when in reverse...most do not. it is all about how they hook up, and range would be the closet to the banks.

Have you checked into the AWE exhaust systems. I have 2024 LT trail boss with the AWE system, banks pedal monster, cold air intake by cold induction and solar performance throttle body upgrade.

Thanks for the replies. After reviewing I think I’ll end up going with a Borla S, it has T304 steel to stand up to the crazy Virginia weather, no drone for neighbors (there are multiple you tube videos to watch), million mile warranty, and great fitment. I do like the MBPR but after configuring one it was the same cost as the Borla (minus the tips). Hopefully with the CAI, MAF sensor, new Pulsar, and the new exhaust this truck should open up a bit and scream like a 6.2 should!

I just decided to cut off the stock (including the flapper valve) and installed the Flowmaster 40 Series original and JB Weld exhaust tape on the resonator screens. For only just over $100, the sound is great! A low, throaty rumble with no drone.

I looked up AWE but they don’t have a system for the 6.2. The only one I saw was for a 5.3.

I installed Flowmaster Rough Country. Great sound. Not overwhelming. If you have the active exhaust, you will need a plug to bypass the active exhaust mechanism to avoid CELs. Paragon Performance sells them. $100 for two plugs. You only need one. Keep the other as a spare.

My bad. Not a Flowmaster. It’s a Rough Country system purchased from American Trucks. Good fit. Sounds great. $649.
