When you say it's good the rest of the drive, do you mean it works under 40mph until you shut the motor off?

Correct, as per Carbyte (and tested myself) you have to hit 40+mph for a few seconds for the vehicle computer to complete its system checks then the module works perfectly the rest of the drive at all speeds until you shut the car off.

Nope, truck would shut off at a stop until I hit 40.

I just don't get it, I upgraded the firmware on Carbyte and never had a problem even when I start my truck up and drive it 100 yards to the stop sign and can sit there as long as I want and the truck keeps running. Some things just don't make sense sometimes!

Yours is a 22.5 or newer? Def weird. Only thing I can think of is that it works all the time before the refresh. If not, enjoy and consider yourself lucky! lol.

Hi Michael,

Unfortunately, 40 mph is the speed needed for the vehicle monitors to complete. It's part of the emissions regulations and SEMA certification.

• In Laymen's terms, it is built into GM ECU programming. You would need to hit 40 mph for a couple seconds one time (if done right) and then AFM is allowed to be disabled by the ECU. This is a requirement for GM3 vehicles like your vehicle, and there is no way around this.

I am sorry that this was not the answer you were looking for, and you do make a valid point to this as you are the second user since we released Carbyte to bring up that they were not able to utilize Carbyte due to speed limits in their town.
