Has anyone put after market shocks on Trailboss?

Just installed billstein 5100’s in the back. Will do the fronts once my spring compressor comes in. I will say that they definitely make the truck feel like a truck. The rear has less body roll and feels like they say more “planted”. Takes bumps and pot holes much better. Little to no bed hop. Price point was exactly what I expected to pay. A little over $400 for all 4 and ordered them from billstein lifts and came in 2 days.
Completed the install up front. Went really smoothly.

Which spring compressor did you buy/use?

I have the Fox 2.0 on the back with BDS 6 inch lift and went with the Bilstein up front.. Loving my truck and the ride quality…

I agree the bilstein 5100 is a great upgrade. I just did the rear but that made a huge improvement.

There is a section of road I drive daily that the rear would kick out everytime with the ranchos. When it rains or snowing it was scary. The bilsteins fixed that.
I know this is 2 years old, but I was trying to see if I could "stiffen" up the ride as it's a little too bouncy. Would this do the trick? And is this something I can just bring to my local mechanic to work on? Sorry for my ignorance on this, I've only done brakes but never anything on suspension.

I have a ‘21 and was looking to upgrade front shocks because I have to replace ball joints and possibly inner tie rods as well. Where did d you find FOX? American Truck said that they were not available for a ‘21 TB. Any info would be appreciated! 🫡

Read up...anything offer as 2" lift is STOCK TB height...the ones that state 3.5" lift are going to be a LEVELED look on a TB.

I have the Fox 2.5 Elites at 3.5" height...adjusted to a 3.75"

Anyone have any luck installing 2.0's along with a leveling kit? I'm being told this can't be done, but I don't see why not. If the 2.0's give you a stock stance, what would adding a RL 1.75" leveling kit hurt, right? I'd like to know if anyone had any luck with this or a similar combo.

which 2.0 ?
the Bilstein's can be stacked, but some like the FOX have a top hat that they claim wont work...along with some of the brands having the larger body, when stacked can relocate the body to a lower position that makes contact with the arm at full droop., as well as possibly hitting the axle shafts

Hi Boys- Was looking at putting on some aftermarket shocks to replace rear shocks on my 22TB LT. Has anyone done this yet and if so which brand did you go with? Did it help with smoothing out the ride. I had FOX shocks on my old work horse 2006 F250 but obviously that was a long time ago. Just looking on some thoughts and input. Appreciate it. Stay safe
I put these on. I bought them off of Zone Off-road (zoneoffroad.com). It was part of a leveling lift kit I purchased from them. Hope this helps.

I was looking into that kit, but couldn’t find much on the adventure series shocks. How do you like it so far? Any pros/cons?

Replaced the Ranchos with 5100s last weekend. Since living in Moab for all off-road and/or on-road vehicles factory shocks were ditched in a few months. Except for my Frontier that came with 4600s...
