Hitch View Camera

How can you not see the hitch with the tailgate up? I can see my hitch cover when I'm backing up.

I believe they are talking about an actual hitch view vs. standard back up camera view. To have the hitch specific view requires the correct package to be optioned in the truck. My 2020 LTZ 2500HD had the “hitch view.” You could use standard view until you got close enough, then use hitch view. Nice to have but to be honest not that useful overall.

I know what they're talking about but I don't need a magnifier to line up my hitch with the trailer. I can see the hitch fine with just the rear view camera. Switch to the trailer line from the parking spot lines and it's easy to line up with the base camera.

I can see the hitch just fine with the tail gate up. But sometimes its helpful to have a birds eye view. Using the tail gate straps to angle the camera down can be helpful once you are close to the trailer for final alignment. I do not need to do this every time but if i'm in a weird position, and at an angle where I can not get a straight line, its helpful.
